We are growing!  We recently purchased property in Pleasant View and plan to open a state-of-the-art facility before the end of the year.  It will have Boarding, Grooming, Training, Day Boarding, and a large Retail area.  A veterinarian will operate a separate practice on site.

 

Customer Relations Assistant: This job is conducted from our front counter where you help us all (customers and employees alike) to have fun, work well with each other, and have a pleasurable experience at Idlewire.  This position represents the face of Idlewire and is key to the success of the business.  We are happy to train any willing and able person who may wish to apply.

SCHEDULE

You'd need to be available Mon-Fri 7:45 am to 6:30 pm, Sat 7:45 am - 5:30 pm, Sun 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. 

PAY

Wages range from $6.50/hr to 8.50/hr and training is typically done at $6.50/hr.  Training typically takes 2 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION: A successful Customer Relations Assistant is polished, cheerful, and thorough.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

·        Direct Phone Traffic

·        Take Appointments

·        Record pet and customer information

·        Understand available services - boarding, grooming, Day services, products used and for sale.

·        Empathetic listening

·        Product advice and information

·        Help us all to maintain the atmosphere of the facility (sounds, smells, conversations, appearances, all evoke good vibes)

·        Record and respond to customer feedback

·        Referrals to other pet professionals- veterinary, animal services,  training, home care, breeders guide

 

COMPUTER MANAGEMENT

·        Enter client information, appointments and reservations

·        Maintain, update, and edit client records as needed

·        Run daily calendars and reports

·        Perform word processing functions

·        Aid with employee schedules

·        Backup database

·        Enter retail inventory

 

RETAIL SALES

·        Product familiarity

·        Cashiering

·        Determine appropriate inventory levels

·        Order merchandise and pet foods from suppliers in a timely manner to maintain full stock

·        Compute prices for retail merchandise

·        Price and stock retail items (some things weigh as much as 50 pounds)

·        Maintain Customer environment.

·        Advise and confirm with managers/owner about new products or product changes

 

GENERAL BUSINESS SUPPORT

·        Open and close store

·        Be alert to kennel  and grooming needs: employees; animals health & behavior; cleaning and maintenance

·        Be aware of grooming and kennel standards with animals within the facility

·        Transfer pets to and from customers as needed

 

FACILITY MANAGEMENT

·        Provide supervision of  general business activity during business hours including employee, customer and facility management

·        Monitor and report boarding and grooming animals health, happiness and welfare to customers and other employees

·        Monitor and report repairs, shortages, break downs and other problems that hinder production

·        Keep updates as to any repairs needed to be made with facility: boarding, grooming, retail

·        Keep GM updated as to supplies needed to help operations run smoothly

·        Order and obtain supplies as appropriate in consultation with other personnel

·        Maintain the Customer environment

 

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

·        Cashiering

·        Close out cash drawer at end of day

·        Put together bank deposits

·        Get change when needed
